This seminar is online and reviews the role of the Medication Aide. The Medication Aide Seminar is for current Medication Aides only. Please do not register for this course if you are not currently a Medication Aide in the state of Texas.

Program Objective:

This (maCEtp) class is scheduled for seven hours and will be completed in one day. It meets the annual requirements for Medication Aides by the Texas Health and Human Services Medication Aide Program. The first 30 minutes will consist of introductions and distributing course materials. Then will be a review of Medication Aide rules and regulations and a review of 40TAC §95 and other regulations. Students will know the authorized and unauthorized functions of a Medication Aide, the requirements of §95.103(b) and any rule changes during the last year, and pertinent changes to the Medication Aide curriculum. The major topic is determined by the maCEtp approved instructor. Approved by both the Texas Health and Human Services – Medication Aide Program and the Texas Workforce Commission – Career Schools and Colleges department. The closing will consist of evaluation handouts and exams if appropriate.
