Office Administration
A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of office managers and other professionals, to perform routine administrative duties in a medical, clinical, or health care facility/system office environment. Includes instruction in general office skills, data processing, office equipment operation, principles of medical record-keeping and business regulations, medical/clinical office procedures, and communications skills.
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
This 100-hour program is designed to provide the student with the fundamental knowledge, skills, and abilities essential for the provision of basic care to residents in long-term care facilities, hospitals, and the patient’s home. In order to prepare students to meet the requirements necessary to pass the State Exam and become a licensed Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the State of Texas.
Patient Care Technician (PCT)
This program is a 205-clock hour course that teaches the student skills and training necessary to become a Patient Care Technician (PCT). The student will have to complete the 100-Hour Nurse Aide Course, complete the 75-Hour Phlebotomy Technician Course, 30-Hour Electrocardiogram Technician Course, and is required to pass all State/National Exams to become certified to be eligible to sit for the Patient Care Technician Exam through AMCA/NHA.
Clinical Medical Assistant Certified (CMAC)
This 225-clock hour program teaches the student skills and training necessary to become a Clinical Medical Assistant Certified. The student will have to complete the 100-Hour Nurse Aide Course, complete the 75-Hour Phlebotomy Technician Course, 30-Hour Electrocardiogram Technician Course, and the 20-Hour Office Administration course and is required to pass all State/National Exams to become certified to be eligible to sit for the Clinical Medical Assistant Exam through AMCA/NHA.
Certified Medication Aide Recert Class (CMA)
This 7-hour program is designed to meet the annual requirements for Medication Aides by the Texas Health and Human Services Medication Aide Program. Please do not register for this course if you are not currently a Medication Aide in the state of Texas.
CPR Initial & Recertification Class
This 2-hour program is designed to help students gain the knowledge and skills to save a life. In the CPR Initial & Recertification Class program, you will learn the skills necessary to perform CPR for victims of all ages.
Phlebotomy Technician (PLAB)
This 75-hour program is designed to teach students the skill of collecting blood for testing purposes that is essential to be a licensed Phlebotomy Technician (PLAB).
Electrocardiogram Technician (EKG)
This 30-hour program is designed to prepare students to take their American Medical Certification Association Exam. By teaching students the essentials skills for operating an EKG machine and input patient information in order to be a licensed Electrocardiogram Technician (EKG).
Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
This 144-hour program is designed to teach students the skills essential for Entry-level work as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in licensed health care agencies.
